This is not:

Your average family home.

This is:

About bringing 60’s LA to Brighton. By staying true to the decade of sunken lounges and rich walnut timbers, mckimm had a strong vision to execute an LA style home that leant itself to family living. A minimalist and robust approach to joinery details was established to complement mckimm’s slim floating roof that cantilevers beyond black window frames.

The brief from mckimm included white concrete floors and concrete render walls which are not only easy to live with, but also balanced out the rich walnut timber panelling of the walls. mckimm’s integration of central courtyards and olive trees not only look pretty, but flood rooms with natural light that can be seen from all angles.
